Zoo, Exotics and Wildlife Anesthesia

Course Overview

The main goal of the 13-day course is to teach important principles and philosophy of immobilization, anesthesia, monitoring and recovery of different species in captivity to qualified veterinarians. Field work is done either on the farm in Wildlife Pharmaceuticals' Research Enclosures or on client farms and reserves including Big Five areas together with our Wildlife Capture Team. Its a fast paced action adventure in the African bush! Evenings are spent at the restaurant around the bar and under the African Sky by a warm fire while listening to the bush chatter of local species.
